Raised in a family where collecting and restoring antiques was a way of life, Theresa grew up surrounded by stories of the past. She fondly recalls her uncle traveling across the country sourcing and restoring antique wood-burning stoves, and those early influences helped shape her appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
Many longtime customers of Antique World Mall may remember Theresa’s brother, Doug Squier, and his wife Mary. Mary had a true passion for antiques and an eye for discovering unique pieces, while Doug brought them back to life with his skill for fixing and restoring. Together, they created booths that became a beloved part of the mall for many years.
After Mary’s passing in 2014, Theresa held an antique sale to help fund her move back to Boise, where she could be closer to Doug and assist in managing the booths. It was during this time that her own passion for selling antiques truly took hold. Working alongside her brother became a meaningful and joyful chapter in her life.
When Doug was later diagnosed with cancer, he entrusted his booths to Theresa, passing along not just a business, but a legacy. Today, she continues to carry that forward with care, dedication, and a deep respect for the stories behind each piece.
Theresa has a true love for the treasure hunt—seeking out items that are not only beautiful, but meaningful. She is especially drawn to pieces from the European 1800s, a favorite era known for its elegance and craftsmanship.
