Classic Antique Dresser from Bidwell Family
This beautiful classic Antique Dresser (c.1750) is from the Bidwell family, the founding family of Chico California.
John Bidwell was from New York originally, but headed out west in 1841. He ventured to Northern California, now know as Chico. He was the owner of a large farm, growing grapes and wheat. He established the town of Chico on his property in 1860.
The Bidwell Mansion was also included in the filming of the classic movie “The Thin Man”.
This beautiful piece of history is available for sale at Antique World Mall from dealer #861 for $3,900. This piece was appraised by Antique Roadshow at $10,000.
